The Global Opportunity Report 2016 will be launched on January 26, 2016 in Oslo, Norway!
The United Nations’ adoption of the new Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs, or Global Goals) has the world poised at an historic crossroads – setting a course to end extreme poverty, fight inequality and injustice, and protect our planet. To turn this vision into reality, foresighted leaders must be ready to seize the opportunities that will shape a sustainable future.
A WORLD OF NEW OPPORTUNITIES
The Global Opportunity Report acts as a GPS, helping leaders navigate an increasingly complex risk landscape. The new report will highlight untapped opportunities for both business and society, stemming from five risks: Resistance to Lifesaving Medicine, Accelerating Transport Emissions, Loss of Ocean Biodiversity, Global Food Crisis and A Generation Wasted. For each risk we’ll identify three opportunities that can help realize the Global Goals’ vision for sustainable development.
The Global Opportunity Report is the result of a process stretching across five continents. More than 200 experts have contributed to turning the five risks into 15 opportunities, which are then tested by more than 6,000 leaders from the private and public sector worldwide.
